Dr. Sanhita Sinharay

Assistant Professor
Department of Bioengineering

IISc Bangalore

Dr. Sanhita's lab discovers, validates and translates molecular imaging biomarkers that can non-invasively assess disease load and response to therapeutics at early stages. Her work spans the domains of biochemistry, molecular biology and chemistry.

Dr. Dhananjay Huilgol

Scientist IV & Associate Professor
NBRC Manesar

Dr. Dhananjay's lab explores how the brain wires itself, and how genes and microenvironments influence neurodevelopmental disorders. Having worked at TIFR (Mumbai) and Duke University (USA), he has now joined the faculty at NBRC.

Dr. Nandini Rajamani

Associate Professor
Department of Biology

IISER Tirupati

Dr. Nandini's research uncovers the evolutionary reasons for diversity in morphological and behavioral traits across related species, and how local adaptations are impacted by anthropogenic and climate change. The Sciurid lab employs non-model organisms like squirrels and pikas through a combination of field, lab, and computational techniques.

Prof. Divya Chandran

Professor
Department of Plant Biotechnology

Regional Centre for Biotechnology

Prof. Divya's lab uncovers the molecular and genetic pathways that enable leguminous crops defend themselves against a destructive fungal disease. Her research paves the way to developing strategies for disease resistant crops and improved food security.

Dr. Raju Mukherjee

Associate Professor
Department of Biology

IISER Tirupati

Dr. Mukherjee’s research explores how bacteria like Mycobacterium tuberculosis survive potent drugs, uncovering the mechanisms behind their resistance. Using approaches such as proteomics and genome-wide mutagenesis, his work identifies bacterial vulnerabilities, paving the way for better therapeutic interventions and effective treatments.
